Privacy policy

How the WYSO Center collects, uses and protects the information you share through wyso.center.

The short version

We use what you share to answer your request, plan your event and send the emails you ask for. We don't sell or rent your personal information.

Who we are

The WYSO Center, 1118 East Washington Avenue, Madison, WI 53703, is owned and operated by the Wisconsin Youth Symphony Orchestras (WYSO), a nonprofit. This policy covers wyso.center and the forms, emails and booking tools connected to it. WYSO's youth programs are covered by the WYSO privacy policy at wysomusic.org.

What we collect

When you request a quote: your name, email, phone, organization, event date and times, guest count, the rooms you're interested in, notes about your event, whether you're a nonprofit, any promo code, and how you heard about us.

When you book a tour: the name, email and any details you enter on our Google Calendar booking page.

When you sign up for news: your name and email address.

Automatically, when you visit: the pages you view, your device and browser type, your approximate location (city level), and the website, search or ad that brought you here. See Cookies and analytics below.

How we use it

To answer your request, prepare quotes, schedule tours and plan your event; to send follow-up emails about your quote, tour or event, and news if you sign up; to understand which pages and marketing work so we can improve them; and to keep business records and meet legal obligations. We don't sell or rent personal information.

Who we share it with

Only the service providers that run this website and our booking process, under their own privacy and security terms: Webflow (website hosting and form records), Tripleseat (event inquiries and bookings), Google (Analytics and the tour calendar), MailerLite (email) and LinkedIn (ad measurement). We may also share information when the law requires it.

Cookies and analytics

We use Google Analytics, which sets cookies, to see how people use the site in aggregate. If you arrive from a campaign link, the site remembers that link's tracking tags in your browser for the rest of your visit, so we can tell which campaigns lead to quote requests.

When we run LinkedIn ads, we use the LinkedIn Insight Tag to measure their results and may show WYSO Center ads on LinkedIn to people who have visited this site.

You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings, install Google's Analytics opt-out browser add-on, and change your ad preferences in your LinkedIn account settings. The site works without cookies.

Your choices

Every marketing email has an unsubscribe link. To see, correct or delete the information we hold about you, email events@wyso.center. We'll respond within a reasonable time, keeping only what we need for active bookings, accounting or legal reasons.

Security and retention

We use reasonable safeguards and choose providers that protect your data. We keep inquiry and booking records as long as we need them to serve you and meet legal and accounting requirements, and keep newsletter information until you unsubscribe.

Children

This site is for organizations booking event space. It isn't directed to children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect their information here.

Changes and contact

If we update this policy, we'll post the new version here with a new effective date. Questions? Email events@wyso.center, call 608.733.6283 ext. 1142, or write to WYSO Center, 1118 East Washington Avenue, Madison, WI 53703.
